Important Deadlines
Paper submission: August 10, 2006
Author Notification: September 15, 2006
Camera-ready Copy: October 10, 2006
Note:
- Every paper accepted for publication in the Proceedings
of CCNC 2007 MUST be presented during the
conference. Accepted papers may be presented in either oral
format or poster format. The format of presentation does not
differentiate the quality of the paper. A paper's format of
presentation will be decided by the conference program
chairs based on the paper topic and session allocation.
For those who desire to have a more interactive
presentation opportunity, you can request to present your
paper in a poster presentation session in your cover letter.
The conference program chairs will properly consider your
request.
- Every paper accepted for CCNC 2007 MUST
have attached to it at least one registration at
the full member/nonmember rate. Thus, for a paper for which
all authors are students, one student author will be
required to register at the full registration rate. For
papers where at least one author is already registered at
the full rate, this fulfills the obligation for up to four
papers where all the other authors are students.
STUDENT GRANTS
A limited number of Student Travel Grants are available to
those student authors who will be presenting papers and are
unable to obtain funding to attend the symposium. The form
will be available on the web on or after 1 September, 2006.
BEST PAPER AWARD
There will be a Best Paper Award (BPA) for the best
submitted paper. Potential candidates for awards will be
identified during the normal review process. A special
independent Awards Committee will be formed to evaluate the
candidate papers to select the award winners. The Awards
Committee has the right to give the award to one paper, not to
give an award, or to split the award among several papers. The
BPA winner shall be announced and a plaque signed by the
ComSoc president will be given to the BPA winner during the
CCNC2007 award ceremony.
BEST STUDENT PAPER AWARD
There will also be a Best Student Paper Award (BSPA) for
the best submitted student paper. A plaque signed by the
ComSoc president will be given to the BSPA winner during
CCNC2007 award ceremony.
Qualification and requirement for Best Student Paper Award:
To be eligible, the student must be the sole author of the
paper, or the first author and primary contributor. A cover
letter to the TPC Chair must identify the paper as a candidate
for this competition at the time of submission.
Review procedure:
Potential candidates for awards will be identified during
the normal review process. A special independent Awards
Committee will be formed to evaluate the candidate papers
together with their presentations and to select the award
winners. The Awards Committee has the right to give the award
to one paper, not to give an award, or to split the award
among several papers.
